First held in 1983, the Ein Gedi International Race, held every winter, holds the title “the lowest race on earth”. The racerunners arrive from all over the world and enjoy the unique views of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. The race takes place along Route 90 in several categories: 30 km, 21 km (a half marathon), 10 km and 2 km route for children and youth. The event also includes Israel’s largest walking competition of 10 km.
